How we count student hours
One student in one 45-minute lesson is one student hour. Amber counts them for you from the lessons you teach, so there is nothing to report or estimate.
The same yardstick for everyone
Every lesson is measured in 45-minute units, whatever length your school uses. A 90-minute lesson with 10 students is 20 student hours.
Counted once a year
Your school year, 1 September to 31 August, sets your size for the next 12 months. Quiet summers and busy autumns even out.
No surprise bills
If you grow during the year, nothing changes until the next yearly check. We tell you before you move to a bigger size.
New schools
Start on the size you expect. After your first school year in Amber, the real number decides.
For a feel of the numbers
- A group of 10 with two 90-minute lessons a week for 30 weeks: 1,200 student hours.
- One student with two 60-minute private lessons a week for 30 weeks: 80 student hours.
- A school with 25 groups like the first one and 40 private students: about 33,000 student hours, so Academy.
Questions schools ask
Do you charge per user?
No. Add as many staff, teachers, students and parents as you need. The price depends only on your school’s size and the modules you choose.
What if our school grows during the year?
Your plan stays the same until the next yearly check after 31 August. If you have grown into a bigger size, we tell you before the new plan starts.
Can we pay monthly?
Yes. The prices shown are for yearly payment; paying month by month adds 10%.
Are prices with VAT?
No, all prices are without VAT. VAT is added where it applies.
Can we add or remove a module later?
Yes. Tell us and we switch it on; changes apply from your next billing period. You can also move between Core and Complete.
Is Croatian fiscalization included?
Yes, fiscalization of every invoice is part of Core. Sending eRačuni through ePoslovanje is an extra per legal entity, and included in Complete for up to 3 legal entities. More about fiscalization.
Is AI included?
AI-guided setup is free in your first 60 days on every plan. After that, AI comes with the Ask Amber AI module or the Complete plan, each with a monthly AI allowance. What the AI does.
We already use Amber. Does our price change now?
Not now. Schools already using Amber keep their current plan for the time being, and we will talk to each school personally before anything changes.
